18:00It is after six.

Meet the business you keep putting off.

Answer ten questions about your skills, your free evenings and what you care about. After Six hands you a name, a brand, a website, a first offer and a 30-day plan sized to the hours you really have. Then it checks in every Monday.

Free to try. About four minutes. No card, no account in this prototype.

Three passes through the press. One business on the page.

Riso printers lay down one ink at a time. Each pass on its own is a smudge. Line them up and you get a picture. After Six works the same way.

  1. Pass 1 · yellow

    You answer ten questions.

Your skills, the evenings you can really give it, your budget, and what you care about. No CV, no business jargon, about four minutes.

  2. Pass 2 · pink

It matches you to a business model.

Twelve tested side-business models are scored against every answer. You see the winner, the runner-up, and a plain-English line for each reason it fits.

  3. Pass 3 · blue

    It prints the whole kit.

Name options with checks to run, a brand, a one-page website, a first offer with a price to test, and a 30-day plan placed only on your free evenings.

This is what lands when the press stops.

A real reveal from the prototype, for an invented person: an office worker who said animals, being outside, and Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings. Tap through it.

Also printed: The Second Walk · Good Dog Dusk · Hackney Evening Paws

  • Because you said animals are what people already ask you about.
  • Because you said you would rather be outside than on a laptop.
  • Because you have three free evenings, and evening walks are when working owners need you.

Before using any name: search Companies House and the UK trade mark register. The reveal links you to both.

We will never tell you what you will earn.

Nobody honest can. Advertising rules in the UK say a new work-from-home scheme must not forecast earnings at all, and we agree with them. So instead of a number, After Six gives you a test.

days to a yes or a no.

Your pre-sale page and a short list of people to ask. The go line: three people say yes at your price. It is our rule of thumb, not a statistic.

5

real conversations.

Scripts for asking what would make it a yes, written so you never feel like a salesperson at a party.

1

honest switch.

If the test says no, your runner-up idea is already printed. Switching is a feature, not a failure.

A riso print of a terrace at dusk. Lit windows show a potter, a sewing machine, a laptop, an easel, a bike and someone baking.

You have more evening than you think.

312 hours a year. That is 42 working days of your own thing.

Arithmetic, not a forecast: hours a week times 52, divided by a 7.5-hour day.

Try it free. Keep the coach if it helps.

Launch prices for this prototype; nothing is charged. For context, Durable's Launch plan is listed at $25 a month for a website alone, and a Looka Brand Kit at $96 a year. Accessed 22 October 2026.

Fair questions.

Will this make me money?+

We do not know, and we will not pretend to. What After Six does is shorten the time between “I should start something” and a clear answer from real people. Some tests will say no. That is useful too.

Am I allowed to do this alongside my job?+

GOV.UK says you can run a business and be employed at the same time. Your contract may still limit what you do, so the plan starts by reading it. Acas explains exclusivity clauses and when they are banned.

GOV.UK: working for yourself · Acas: exclusivity clauses

What about tax?+

The first £1,000 of trading income in a tax year is covered by the trading allowance. Above that you register for Self Assessment by 5 October after the tax year ends. Our tax and rules page has a calculator that shows what you would keep. It is an estimate, not advice.

Is the coach a person?+

No. It is AI, it says so, and it is built to be specific rather than cheerful. For anything about tax, law or your employer it points you to the official source.

What happens to my answers?+

In this prototype, nothing leaves your browser. In the live product, answers would be stored to run your plan, never sold, and deletable in one tap.

Tonight, ten questions. Tomorrow, a plan.
