What a sponsor slot looks like
Fitting NotesExample issue · March
Sponsored · example ad
Van signs, menus and shopfront vinyl to match your new site.
Example Print & Sign Co. is a made-up supplier. A real sponsor's headline, two lines and one link would sit here.

The rules we keep
- Every ad carries the word Sponsored, in the same size as the text around it.
- Relevant only: products and services small local businesses use. Nothing from the never list.
- Never in service messages: no ads in outreach emails or letters, concepts, client sites, quotes, invoices, care notes or quarterly reports.
- Fitting Notes is opt-in only, says who sent it and has a one-click unsubscribe (UK GDPR and PECR). Cold outreach never adds anyone to it.
- Every ad must be legal, decent, honest and truthful (CAP Code). Claims need proof before they run.
- No fake or paid-for reviews, and no ads dressed up as tips (DMCC Act 2024).
- No subscriber or visitor data goes to advertisers. They get totals only: issues sent and link clicks.
- Thimble checks every ad before it runs. You approve every advertiser and every price.
Never in service messages
Our one-off outreach emails and letters, concept sites, client websites, quotes, invoices, care notes and quarterly reports never carry an ad. Nobody is added to Fitting Notes without ticking the box themselves.
Booking
Advertising opens only if Fitting Notes launches. Swatch, our ad-sales bot, will draft the booking and the owner approves every advertiser and price by hand. This preview site does not take bookings or payments.
